I’m doing three readings (along with other writer contributors) in October in support of the Live Free or Undead Anthology, a collection of Granite State Horror fiction edited by Rick Broussard and published by George Geers up at Plaidswede Press. The anthology is first in a series of books of New Hampshire Pulp Fiction. It’s going to be scary, funny, weird and wonderful and basically everything you could want in a book of pulp horror. My story, “Live Free or Undead,” follows a couple of Statehouse reporters through the travails of the zombie apocalypse; I think you’ll be amused, horrified, and hope you might even laugh out loud once or twice. For those interested, I’ll be reading at RiverRun Bookstore on Oct. 20, 7 p.m., along with Trevor Bartlett, J. Zachary Pike, Catie Jarvis, and Jeffrey DeRego; then at the Concord Literary Festival, Oct. 22 at the Barley House in Concord, 5-7 p.m., with Becky Rule, James Patrick Kelly, Brendan Dubois, Davd O’Keefe, and Kristopher Seavey, and finally at Double Midnight Comics here in Manchester, Oct. 27, time TBD, with Catie Jarvis and Jeffrey DeRego. Here’s the full schedule of readings. I hope you can make it to one of these … I dare ya!
