I get asked by ad folks occasionally how to get a full screen capture for marketing materials, or to show ad positions in full page context, etc. One way is to use a piece of screen capture software like SnagIt. SnagIt can take a scrolling screen shot at full size, edit it after, export to different file formats, and even take narrated video screenshots. But you don’t always need special software to get a basic screenshot of a whole Web page, especially if the page isn’t too long.  Here’s a simple trick using the Firefox browser:
  1. Open your Firefox Web browser. Open the window all the way. Go to the page you want a screenshot of.
  2. Hit F11 on your keyboard. This will remove all the extra file and address bar material at the top of the page so you’re just seeing the browser window.
  3. Hold down the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard.
  4. Draw the scroll wheel on your mouse toward you to shrink the overall view of the screen in your browser window until everything you want in your screenshot is visible.
  5. Hit the “PrntScrn” button on your keyboard.
  6. Paste or move your image into the graphics program of your choice.
