I won tickets to Sesame Street Live in Lowell tonight and we took the kids – and now I get why parents brave traffic, the risk of tired kid melt-downs, expensive concession stands and all the rest of the challenges presented by packing up the family and trucking off to a nighttime spectacular. All of the kids, and Sofia and Isobel especially, loved it. Loved it so much Sofia kept turning and beaming at us, like one of the kids in those Disney World commercials. That kind of unvarnished enthusiasm and enjoyment is something to see. I may not have been totally engaged in what Big Bird and Elmo were up to, but I could watch those smiles all night long. What a show.
