While there are still plenty of opportunities for newspapers to benefit from staff and audience written blogs, some of the ideashere may help to provoke good discussions while shaping a blogging strategy… and help to suggest alternatives to blogs for certain projects or staffers.

Good news for newspapers. The bad news is that the ability to monitize this traffic hasn't caught up. But it will. Need to get print upsells out of the revenue reporting mix to get a clear sense of how much online is growing.
