… Well, not really. Here's a link to an amusing post by Mark Shea on this and all the other "shocking truths" that have been revealed about Jesus over the years, including the fact he was woman, was never executed, was a space alien and was buried in Japan, etc. Shea leaves out that Jesus was also eaten by dogs… but he's got a pretty good list. Oh, wait, I just read all the way to the end. He does have the eaten by dogs bit in there.

Here's a link to a story on this from the BBC — basically Cameron says he's found an ossuary with names on it similar to those of the Holy Family, and DNA and statistical evidence has convinced him, while, the BBC reports, "Mr Cameron's claim has been attacked by archaeologists and theologians as unfounded. Archaeologists said that the burial cave was probably that of a Jewish family with similar names to that of Jesus."

"Israeli archaeologist Amos Kloner, who was among the first to examine the tomb when it was first discovered, said the names marked on the coffins were very common at the time. 'I don't accept the news that it was used by Jesus or his family,' he told the BBC News website."
